I’ve already had 2 posts about minimalist movie posters, so I thought I’d mix it up a bit. Most of these posters are pretty busy, but I really like the way the artist conveys the spirit of these movies. Created by Tom Whalen, more can be found here, with an artist interview.
May the force of typography be with you
I’m a big fan of typography and finding cool ways to create unique things with it. Matteo Civaschi has done it with these pieces (found here, along with an interview).
WTF2 by Minga Creative Studios
This is the second installation of WTF moments created by Minga Creative Studios. Very good minimalist design. The rest of the gallery can be found here.
Khuan Caveman Co
I think this is a really interesting concept. It’s a fun, creative way to show tourist maps. Great design. More can be found here.
Mark Weaver
I like the use of texture and patterns in this piece. It’s so strange to see a child’s face composed of these things, but nice at the same time. Mark Weaver has some more great work on his site(found here), I suggest checking out his other screen prints.
0117
I’m not exactly sure what’s going on here, but I like it. This piece is done by someone who simply goes by 0117. Whoever he or she is has some great work on their site found here, and there’s a lot of it.
Matt Stuart
Matt stuarts got some great photos and pieces on his website found here. I especially like the picture above.
Josiane Marquis
This is the most creative way I’ve seen a snow globe put into use and I like how everything has a great flow. Interesting font as well.
Christopher Paul
Christopher Paul does some really cool work creating art from data and other forms of inspiration.
